How to make a Referral
The Secret Garden School is Department of Education Registered School. DFE Number 937/6033 URN 148243
We are currently operating for pupils in KS2 and KS3 ( Ages 7-14)
Our curriculum will be expanded to include KS4 and KS5 (14-19) from September 2022.
This will allow any pupils starting with us in Year 9 in 2021, to continue their education with us, providing we are still the correct education provider to best meet the pupils individual needs.
Most of our pupils have an Education Health Care Plan (EHCP) to address their Special Educational Needs.
All pupils are able to explore a wide and varied Curriculum of subjects in line with the National Curriculum.
We create a bespoke learning and care pathway for each pupil so that they can achieve their full academic, social, and developmental potential in a safe and happy environment.
Our Aim
At the Secret Garden, our aim is for our students to grow into confident and capable young people who are ready to move on to the next stage of their development. We cater for children with or without an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) where a child’s main area of need is Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) or communication and interaction.
The Secret Garden has a strongly inclusive ethos and welcomes all pupils who meet the admissions criteria regardless of race, gender, or disability.
Each child is treated as an individual, with their own bespoke learning plan and goals that cover both cognitive and social aspects of their development. These goals are achieved by small steps leading to achievable outcomes at each key stage.
